Is it necessary to have a circuit detail sticker on the CU showing test results for each circuit etc?
Assessment coming up but thought that a copy of test results to client sufficed? I suppose could tape in a copy of results if necessary. Elecsa assessment so not sure if they would like to see this?

Also if I have two circuits on one MCB (lighting) do I just duplicate the circuit number on the EIC and fill out another row of results? What if there is one circuit (lighting) with two neutrals at the DB how would I write this up please?

To the letter of the law (well BS7671) yes. But having been assessed by Elecsa 5 or 6 times now it has never been mentioned, i just do as electricalserv said and leave it all on the EIC with the customer, but make sure the CU is labelled correctly and it does what it says on the tin so to speak, including all relevant warning notices. When you have your assessment, make sure you have a copy of the certs for the sample job you are showing him as he will want to compare your test results with the actual test he makes you do.

If you have more than one circuit per MCB, test each circuit seperately, the highest readings of the 2 circuits are what you put in the box, no need to duplicate things, but it may be a good idea to make a note somewhere like in "comments on the existing installation" that MCB No1 supplies 2 lighting circuits etc.

I once took him to a rewire, the hallway light and upstairs landing light were on seperate circuits but in the same 2 gang switch. I put in the comments box "Hallway and Landing light switch supplied from 2 different sources, care must be taken to ensure safe isolation before working on either circuit", that got me some proper smartie points.

Can I ask you all, when I'm testing do you think 'jump leads' will be frowned upon for R1+R2 at the DB, they are the proper job Kewtech croc leads. Or do you think I should put a link in for a radial and use a connector block for the ring? Surely it doesn't matter what you use? On the R1 R2 subject on the ring crossover test when you have linked L/N N/L is it necessary to test at that point at the DB to get a reference reading for your sockets? I know we are looking for highest R1+R2 but is it part of the procedure to test at the link or not necessary? Also Insulation resistance, should this alway be done with DB complete main switch off all mcbs off, or... if you have just done R1 R2 on the ring is it wrong to IR the cables should they be put back in the earth and Neutral bars and MCB? I don't want him to turn round and say good effort but you need to go off and do 2392 before you're in!
