zap, you do realise that in the end, we insist that you strip it down and count all the component parts, with photographic evidence.
 
I've done so but I was wondering if there're others with a similar perferse curiosity as I.

good point. I once dismantled an IBM 101 keyboard. Well, I twisted the metal containers and PRANG bits all over the place. There was a spring, contact, key and pivot for each key. Hundreds...

Did you know that the springs were tensioned depending on the finger used to press it. That's why, in the early 90's they cost over £100 - research and development. I did get it back together but the springs, who knows.
