CompEx training help

Hi guys ,
my company have recently paid for me to go on a CompEx coarse so that I can complete electrical works in potentially explosive locations. As always I would like to get a heads up and get as much information on the coarse as possible before I attend. I would like to know if any of you guys on here have done the coarse,how you found it difficulty wise and if there is any available revision guides out there that I could purchase to get a good head start before I go on the coarse.

Any help and advise is much appreciated.

I do not know much about Compex but I assume you have reviewed the basic material on the website to give you an introduction to the requirements assessed.

There may be some further information on this forum if you use the search bar as I think this question comes up a fair amount.

yes i have done comp ex few years back now if youve had no petro chem experience it might be tough going there are therory and practical exams involved

You will have 4 practical assessments to do. 2 on installation and 2 on inspection split between d,e,n equipment and I.S. After that there is an online multi choice paper of 40 questions. Swat up on your notes and good luck.
