concerns working in bathroom

hi I am new to the forum and new to the electrical trade , Just completed my 2330 level 3 , got my 17th Edition , am in the process of trying to gain some experience , I have an opportunity to do some work for a friend who is a plumber,
The jobs needed to be done are down lighters and underfloor heating in 2 bathrooms and some light switch circuits and sockets moving , I am confident I can move the lighting circuits and the sockets , but I am not getting involved with the down lighters and the underfloor heating , the house is on 3 storeys and the electrics are supplied via a old type fuse board , My concerns are that the lighting circuit in the bathroom should be RCD protected and the underfloor heating should be on a separate circuit and also RCD protected , are my concerns valid , any advice would be a great help . I don't want to refuse the job completely because there are more opportunities on the horizon ,

if you are modifying circuits that enter the bathroom then they need rcd protection. just quote for the job including adding a new consumer unit. don't be turning jobs down just because you need to add an rcd.

CU, new circuits and work in bathrooms is covered by Part P and thus are you a member of a scheme???

If you are not getting involved with the downlights and the underfloor heating then I would not worry too much about them.

However all low voltage circuits in or through a bathroom must be protected by a 30mA RCD.
Underfloor heating can be on a socket circuit but consideration should be given to overloading a point on a ring.
If the underfloor heating is greater than 2 kW then a separate circuit would be a good idea.

no not a member of a scheme . not installing new circuit just moving them out of a room to make into a bathroom , I intend joining a scheme when I've got a few minor jobs under my belt

if you're moving stuff around and not removing it then the cable if buried is going to require protecting by rcd or earthed metal conduit or surface mounting. if you're putting new sockets in then they need rcd protection.

and don't forget to check if there is equipotential bonding in place too!
