Hi, I don't have my full regs to hand and I can't find it in any of my onsite guides. I know cable buried in a wall can't be less than 150mm from the corner join of 2 walls but is there a minimum for cable in surface mounted pvc conduit? I have a ring main I need to get to the first floor and I can fit some conduit into an existing pipe boxing but only right in the corner of the room, is this ok? Cheers

wrong. can't be more than 150mm

The OP is wrong. You are allowed to bury a cable in a wall with no further mechanical protection within 150mm of a corner! Its a daft reg if you ask me but its allowed.

customer is unlikely to hang a picture that close to a corner. that's why it's been made a safe zone. otherwise, sometimes it would not be possible to run cables without steel containment.
