Hello chaps and chapettes,
Continuity of final ring circuit I measured:

L-L = 1.45
E-E = 0.8
but measuring N-N I got 108.8....???!!!!!!

Any ideas..? Or are those readings good in my limited experience and consequently I'm an idiot.

A out of date Cadbury's cream egg for the most sarcastic answer but a sensible one would be nice.

Not meaning to sound cheeky but if you don't know if those readings are good or bad and you don't know what would cause those readings then you should stop doing electrical work and go back to learning.

Nice one Murdoch you might win with that
end to end on L-L and N-N should be the same and E-E should be greater if the csa of earth is reduced to that of L-L.
if this is for an exam then make sure you use R1 for line Rn nutral and R2 for earth any way hope this helps .

They are Not very good readings to be honest (post was edited by admins, the original word is not acceptable on these forums) but it did rhyme with right.

or a loose connection in OP's head. ( where's me cream egg?)

Whats the problem there fine put it back together and walk away. I am sure a real spark will love the job to fix it after the fire.

(thats my entry for the creme egg!)

L-L should be within (*.**) of N-N. E-E should be *.** x greater than the the values you recieved for L and N if the cpc isn't the same as the conductors.

GN3 and OSG can be quite useful you know...

so can david cockburn's efforts, when you run out of bog roll.

Leeds United are Short Sighted,
Never scored a goal in history...
They wear rubies on their boobies,
Sha la la la la, la la la la.

(bring back my childhood)

Im actually really excited too find out who se7aq is going to award this cream egg too.

Genuinley.

Me personally would like him to come back and say he has rectified his problem, then we can all take our right hand and place it on our left shoulder, Then give ourselves a pat on the back for being so helpful
