As far as I remember later on in the 15th a socket that would be potentially used for outdoors required rcd protection and this was often done with a rcd socket outlet, no requirements were required for buried cables <50mm or other sockets not used for outdoors... its a while ago but it was something like that... rcd requirements then got stricter throughout the 16th and into the 17th to where we are today.

not sure if RCDs were specified for sockets under the 15th. basically it was bond everything metal and bang test.

what if a cooker circuit was installed at 15th edition (it has a socket outlet on switch- not rcd protected)
theres a 16ed board in there (poss put in at a later date)
and I am doing a eicr to 17th amd3

would you say 100% c3- if its not located right by back door- and there various rcd protected sockets between the non protected cooker socket and the back door.

I would recommend you call your schemes tech helpline and ask them.....

My house was built new and wired to the 15th.
I believe it was RCD socket available for use by outdoor equipment.

It had an Rcd socket in the garage, but nothing inside the house even tho' some were closer to the lawns.

If memory has me correct, there was no requirement for RCD protection. reg 412-06 to 412-06-02 (supplementary protection by residual current devices) is very vague.
