shame they can`t do a program on the good tradesmen and women now and again so not everyone thinks that every trade that goes in through their front door is there to do a shoddy job or rip them off.

I do agree Ken, however, what really gets on my top rack, is that she spouts stuff she has either been told or read from a book, with no real confidence.

ONE phrase I do agree with when talking about Electricians and gas "If they cant speak the language there is NO way they can be qualified to do electrical or gas work in this country" Heres hoping all those watching and wanting work done ASK for qualifications from those "not speaking the language" people

was anybody else slightly embarrassed when the qualified electrician was impressing us with his competence by writing the word 'light' on a cable.

whens this on i wana watch!

positive thing might be drumming it into customers head about getting some whos competent, qualified part p etc and the results of someone whos not

I think the one thing that show did last night was to highlight the fact you pay peanuts you get monkeys, even the Chinese woman said what do they expect for cheap job!!!, she hit the nail on the head, and all the poor people she ripped of on her travels are as much to blame- did they think this was through the books?, In no way am I saying she was right to do what she did - but that family were totally aware it was a £40'000 guvvey job no tax illegal workers etc. imho as long as people go for the cheapest price there will always be room for Melinda's rack on tv.

I have to admit though that I can believe some of her story with regards to the clients wanting the price dropped and wanting more and more done. I have experienced very similar on too many an occasion.

If it ain't on the job sheet and contract...... I ain't doin it!...... Speak to the gaffer....... Who refers them to the contract and then to our solicitors...... Works everytime!
