    had a metrel and a kewtech
    kewtech now doesnt work atall completley dead metrel neons work but no audio , pretty new aswell :(

    any good makes out ?

    i got a fluke SM300 with the RCD test button and earth volts button. excellent bit of kit about £25.

    I'm ashamed to say I got mine from the big orange shed......although I think it's a rebadged Martindale. Mind you, works well for the odd time I use it. I use it to test the sockets themselves, not the wiring feeding them!

    I have a Martindale. I can recall this has been posted somewhere else, where someone mentioned plugging a radio in and turning it up full whack! Lol:-D
