They are the right size but the heel isn't padded

Burst and peel the blister.
Smear the raw wound in Savlon then fully tape your heal up. I use Micropore tape.
It'll be healed in a few days and won't re-occur, as long as you wear your boots regularly.

rubbish you only get blisters if your feeting are rubbing, try wearing thicker socks.

This will help.

Rub this into your feet daily for at least a week, it will toughen up your skin, I used it when I started because feet were rubbing

(Just because length is right doesnt mean width is)

The surgical spirits can be picked up for about £3 from your local chemist

I had a pair of steel toetectors when l first started site work in the early 70's. They hurt like hell and gave me blisters. One of the old labourers on the site who'd been in the army told me to pee in them and leave them overnight and it would soften the leather. I followed his advice, it didn't soften the leather but it did make my feet smell like a urinal for weeks!
Buy the right size boots, it works every time.

If you feet hurt because the leather needs breaking in, grit your teeth and give it a week or two.

My haix boots were like this and I could barely walk in them at first.

I could run in my nordica ski boots easier than my haix when I first wore them

a lot of places have banned rigger boots now due to the amount of ankle injuries, they give virtually no support and you can end up with a nasty break.the ones I wear are the ones most dog handlers have, they've laces up the front and a side zip,so you lace them up tightly then you take them off using the zip, great ankle support and they come on and off quick, and so comfy,I put mine on when I get up in a morning and they stay on 'til bedtime, they're so comfy I wear them everywhere.

riggers are also not preferred due to the open nature of the top of them, i didnt think you was allowed near sites with riggers anymore.
