Can anyone tell me how a din rail dimmer module is used? I presume it needs a remote switch or switches to control it?

Just come across it whilst browsing for 1000W dimmer switch.

Many thanks.

It's probably for mounting in a lighting control panel and could be controlled by a remote potentiometer or maybe one on the front of the panel. There's various possibilities though depending on the particular dimmer you've stumbled across.

Usually controlled by a push switch, the longer you hold it the dimmer it gets or flick it once and you get full brightness. The ones i use also have a memory function to emember last setting.
