As @Dillb said in his original post, with the 'disagree' and 'dumb' there is no constructive feedback. Also some people get wound up by them..... Not me, I'm surprise I don't have thousands of 'disagree' and 'dumb'.... I think it's down to my wonderful personality, stunning looks and charisma.....

I've handed out the disagree and then posted why ........... not sure many others do this

Dumb ............ well that normally doesn't need any explanation
 
I don't pay too much attention to them, in fact some may remember when the 'like' feature came along and relegated the 'thanks' feature to having no more significance than putting feathers in caps I stopped using the feature altogether because I disagree with forums such as this being cliquey popularity contests.

Eagle-eyed members may have noticed the negative feedback doesn't diminish the overall 'score' but adds to the amount of feedback given - someone could effectively 'win' at it by trolling the forum with inflammatory comments; in itself not necessarily a bad thing since without disagreement there is no debate.
