Hope you don't mind me posting.

My dad was an electrician (was NICEIC reg.) for just shy of 60 years but now has terminal cancer and would like to get rid of a 1/2 a garage full of materials, tools, instruments etc - mainly to save my mum having to deal with it in the future.

While no doubt some stuff just needs skipping there is plenty of metric materials.
Eg;
Cables & Flex's
Metal boxes
Pattress's
Cavity boxes
sockets
tools
instruments
Hilmore conduit bender (20mm die for thread)

Ideally looking for a home in return for a donation to charity (Cancer Research, Macmillan, Marie Curie).

We are based in South Liverpool if of interest to anyone.

Hi,

Would you be able to post pictures of the gear you're wanting to get rid of? They may peek some peoples interest, especially if there is some older test gear in there.

In terms of getting hold of the stuff, would you be willing to ship it or would it need to be collected?

And the final question, is are you looking to get rid of everything as a bulk load or are you looking to split it?

Prefer it to be collected although if the testing instruments of any value can post.
Will try and post some photos in next day or 2.

Thanks

That's a very sensible thing to do as you and your dad will ultimately be helping your mum.
We all wish you well and salute your dad in the only way electricians can, 'safely'!
If you get your dad talking about his spark past and any funny stories come up, ask him if he wouldn't mind you posting them - he will make his trade happy, we all like a funny story.
All the best and blessings to the whole family.

Sorry to hear that
What an amazing effort however to raise money for cancer awareness and research.
I bet there's some stories to be told from over the years.
All the best from me too.
