Do these wire caps need to be removed prior to installation?

I am installing a new electric hob, the wiring came with these cable caps at each end. Its a single phase installation so I'll be combining L1 & L2 at the junction box. Do these cable caps (silver colour) need to be removed? See picture.
I assume so, but if you could confirm it would be grateful. They are also on the end that is pre-wired to the hob.

If your asking such a basic question there’s a good chance you could do damage to yourself or others

They are crimps to keep the stranded cable together for a neater and safer installation, as advised get someone in who knows what they are doing.

Yes my thoughts as well, you would be better advised to call an Electrician in to connect this up properly.

I’m quite surprised at the responses on this thread, the OP has asked a reasonable question and showed that he has a good idea of how to connect this for single phase use.
It’s not unreasonable to ask about the ferrules as their use is not always common knowledge within the trade, let alone among DIYers.

I reverse searched via this website using an algorithm that I wrote in my spare time a tracer to pick up IP addresses where I then could attach code to the packet streams to allow me to access users devices, I managed to access Spoon's computer and found my way to his holiday snaps photo album, well I won't give too much away but the Police have been informed but I did find out that he tells fibs.........
