Discuss Dodgy socket testers being recalled in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

you will almost certainly find that the vast amount of these testers, in particular socket testers, non contact indicators and voltage indicators will be made by just one or two companies who then brand them accordingly and maybe change the outer case. take power tools, the motors and batteries in drills, impact drivers etc are all bought off the shelf from the likes of samsung and sanyo etc.. and then put in branded plastic bodies. the price difference though is huge.

I like that in the ‘statement’ provided there are 6 individual descriptions leading up to what they are trying to say which is -
“DONT USE IT IT’LL KILL YOU”.
1) made aware
2) some circumstances
3) a very small number
4) in certain test conditions
5) a potential
6) could become live
7) posing a risk
Just say what you mean!
