Hello i am in the process of fitting three downlights but there is no earth connection on the lamps,i have run the switched live neutral and earth into a junction box in the loft and than fed x3 1.5mm twin earth to each lamp but not sure if it is alright to terminate the earth wires in choc box at each lamp or do all the earths need to be joined together.
 
As a bus driver the op probably doesn't know what loop in loop out means... To op please get a local electrician to come and help you
 
Picture of the lamps.? Why have you run each one individually to a junction in loft and not loop in/out @ each fitting?
Hello,i have run them into a junction box as the electrical connectors on lights is quite compact and thought it might be easier to run individual cable to each light,is the best method to loop in and out and than park the final earth cable in a choc box.Thank you for your reply.
 
As the fittings are class II, then terminating the cpc in the lamp connector block is OK, at the remote junction box the cpcs should be joined to the supply cpc so that an earth is run to each point (light fitting) in the circuit even though it is not required for the light fittings you show.
