Earthing copper pipes .............

While ripping the old bathroom fittings out I noticed that none of the pipework or fittings were earthed. Should they be earthed and if so what is the preferred method?

Bonding of metalwork such as pipes is usually done near the point where they enter the building or close to the meter.

Then as a general rule supplementary bonding may be omitted but some parts may need to be tested to see if extraneous or not.

The house was checked by an electrian before we purchased it and got a clean bill of health

Continuity be something to consider if any cold water copper plumbing is modified to that non conductive stuff.

Have you got an Electrical Installation Condition Report Certificate from the Electrician?
