Discuss ECS Part P in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

With my NICEIC welcome letter there's a form in there for an ECS Part P application - doesn't have much information so wondering if anyone here can tell me what it means etc and whether they applied for it?

Not sure why Part P is mentioned because JIB card recognises NICEIC and ECA Approved Contractors only and not members of any of the Part P schemes.

Can they restrict it to ECA&NICey members. Isn't that called restriction of trade?
Not really, because the Part P schemes are not comparable to the Approved Contractor schemes. For a start they are not solely concerned with Domestic installation works.
