What do you guys do after rectification of defects listed on an EICR.

Reinspect the installation and issue a new EICR? Do you charge for the inspection again?
Issue a new EICR?
Fill out a MW or EIC for the rectifications and provide with the 1st EICR?

Issue relevant certificates and LABC notifications if applicable for the works and then re issue EICR is what I do. Depending on how far they have gone with the remedial works getting done they may still have C3's on there!

Sometimes i rectify as im going along, if its nothing major.

Normally though, i issue the EICR with unsatisfactory, then a new EICR when the rectification work has been done again.

Charge rectification fee, not the price of a full EICR. If it's major rectification work, or a considerable amount it could cost more than the EICR anyway.

Same as mark. Issue a new satisfactory report when the remedials have been carried. The companies we work for need this for their insurance so need a report with a satisfactory on as this gets checked.

I don't issue an unsatisfactory report straight away, I give a list of c2 and c1 and costs of remedial work, explain the situation that they have 3 options, 1 do nothing 2 get another spark in to carry out remedial work which I will inspect or 3 I do the remedials and issue satisfactory report

Only once have I have I issued unsatisfactory

Each to there own on this one but I generally issue MWC or EIC for the remidial works that need doing and these, along with the previous EICR should show that the work has been carried out and the instaaltion is now satisfactory.

Now, if the customer wants another EICR doing that shows satisfactory, then of course I would do it and charge them again. But you would still have to issue MWC or EIC for the remidial works you have carried out.
