Eicr test date/stickering when unsatisfactory

What do you guys who carry out eicr on commercial premises with multiple consumer units do when putting tested/next test stickers on each consumer unit, do you just put one at origin, one on each cu? And if the result is unsatisfactory what do you put on the next test date due, if there are c1/c2 i cant see how you can put 5yrs on as this could be missleading to end user..

Personally, I won’t put a sticker on an ‘Unsatisfactory’ installation.
Others will tell that you must still put the sticker on.

The Standard says the re-test date assumes all repairs are carried out in good time.

The sticker is completely mis-leading.

Plus if you do not put a re-test label on you would have to record that on the EICR and C3 it.

To the first part, I have always put a sticker on each D.B. etc.
You raise a very good point in your second question always put a sticker on recommending 5 years etc the ownership on
the property owner etc maybe a UN/SATISFACTORY could be added to the sticker.

The EICR report requires you to insert a retest date with a brief explanation on the retest date but has an extract already written stating that subject to the necessary remedial works being carried out (for unsatisfactory codes) for the date given for the next inspection
The next inspection label only needs to be at or close to the origin of the installation

I always place a copy of the eicr in the document sleeve attached to the back of the DB door..
Explain to the client that it needs to be kept there for future reference

I personally put unsatisfactory on next test due if there are c1/c2 observations. Then resticker once remedial work had been resolved, it can be a real pain and waste of every1s time restickering 20+cu because of a handfull of minor c2s. However i do like that each cu has a test sticker onit..
I really dont like seing previous stickers with 5yrs retest date and an unsatisfactory condition report presnted

Put a stickers on each dist board and 'Following Remedials' on the stickers.

Obviously if i know im going back to do the remedials as part of the contract such as council ill just leave the sticker off for a few days.

Is a good point I don't put a sticker on until it is satisfactory as I think it looks misleading but can see both arguments. I think the next test date implies you're happy with it till then for anyone just glancing at it. Not sure what official guidance is though

Is it not down to the tester to determine the future test schedule ? Therefore the test date would be what they recommend ?

We but stickers on all DBs tested makes it clear to customer that none have been mist. Also we put the recommended next test date on as well as The gods at the niceic informed us to do so . But I do agree with others that this could be misleading .may be it should state on the sticker "Recommended next test date subject to all defects if applicable are rectified as stated on the report"
