Hi all,

Getting back into work life now, just a few quick questions on completing a EICR FORUM. I'm 100% confidences on carrying out the test just the new forum. Carry out a test that was completed to 16 edition, do I have to code 4 all the different from 16 edition to 17 edition or will I have to fail it because it not up to date with current regs but if I'm reading it correctly we are testing to make sure it still safe not to latest regs? Also I havnt got my head around the 300 mm in a kitchen, I always work to that a socket or isolator must be 300mm from a sink or cooker but speaking to other electrician there have a different idea?

Thanks Dave

1. anything that is not to current regs. and poses no real or potential danger is a code C3. there's no code 4 anymore. 2. the 300mm is a recommendation. closer and not liable to be heat damaged, no code, but a comment might be appropriate.
