Hi,

I have an electric towel rail with a Kudox heating element controller.

Would it be possible to add a timer to the setup?

I’ve looked at similar sized timer devices to replace the current controller but they don’t have the heating temp control so assume it would just be on or off in terms of temperature?

Is there something anyone knows of to add to/replace the setup to get the timer function as well as various heat control settings?

Thanks all

IIRC, the Kudox heating element controller has to have a power supply connected to it and you turn it on by pressing the power button. So a separate timer will not work with the Kudox.
The Kudox does not have any temperature sensing per se. What it does is cycle the element on and off so the rail doesn't reach full temperature at the lower settings.

You could install one of these 7 day programmable timer for electric radiators and towel rails - https://www.geyser.co.uk/24-hour-7-day-timer-electric-towel-rail-radiator-elem-timer-guar
but (looking at the blurb) you would have to change your heating element to one of their variable heat elements.
