The Ghost

Hi again
So my Son sent me the attached file as the cert for electrical work and there appears to be something missing or was it so different then? This if for a house he is about to purchase.

This isn't an electrical certificate. It's the Part 'P' notification which is totally different.
Also the 2 forms only cover work carried out in the garden and the kitchen by the looks of it.
The full electrical certificate usually starts with the prefix DCN7C and will say Domestic Electrical Installation Certificate.
Do not base the condition of the total house wiring on the prefix of these 2 forms he has given you.

Yes it does say that doesn't it. There is also the matter of a bathroom rewired and a loft extension so he is short of quite a bit of info re electrical certs. And no I won't base the house wiring condition on the basis of that PDF. I was just wondering what back then went on with certs and NICEIC. i.e. anything radically different than today. Apart from the obvious changes with amendments. I mean NIC did require the usual certs and schedule of circuits etc. of course...?

back then in 2005 joined NICEIC the scams then . having left them about 2010 .the prefix number might be the same . because I print my own test certs .

I know that road - can be very busy at peak hours - but nice and close to the station - is your son a commuter?

Could you not take a look on his behalf as those Part P certs don't say much .............
