Beg all you like... 'None', in this case, is not a contraction, it is a pronoun meaning 'not any' and can be singular or plural. However it's used, 'none' never has an apostrophe.

Say it out loud. "the screw slots are aligned". "the screw slots is aligned". Which one sounds right?

Jumping Jehosaphat!
and that croc clip, bottom right...is that a "handy spare"?

Yes I think so. Probably a spare for the Makita drill I found on the workbench. The 4.8V battery drill that had some twisted bellwire soldered into it with croc clips on the trailing end to power the drill from the 12V battery I assume.

Had to look twice at the top right of that earth terminal block! Must be my mind!

Think the medallion depicts a bull's head. Would love to know what you are seeing though ;)

Oh, don't get me started!
What is "correct" and what is "received pronunciation" shows the void...
You and me?
You and I?
Subject and object...
Colloquially, none of us are perfect...not one of us is perfect...
It doesn't really matter.
We are not perfect...
I am not perfect...
he is not perfect...

And 'row' - can mean either rowing a boat, arguing or a line of things. Crazy. Best language in the world though.

Anyway...the slots should be aligned!
they ought to be aligned...
or, horribly...
they want aligning, they do!
UGGH!

and breathe............
