Elesca and EICR's

Hope someone might know
Thinking of joining Elesca , are you able to do EICR's under there scheme ?
I thought when I looked before, you could but had do have indemnity insurance and pay a bit extra but been on the website today - nada no mention
Any ideas ?

No requirement to join any scheme to do EICRs. I happen to be with ELECSA and I haven't joined their EICR register, but that doesn't stop me doing them.

ELECSA certify you to self certify certain work under part P. There is no EICR registration requirement, anyone can do them, whether they can do them properly is a different question. I think they changed their process on this a year or so ago as there was little point in being registered.
