Hi all, tis me again, knee deep in paperwork and still not done any revision for my exam tomorrow.....

I need to write the method for earth fault loop impedance test but seeing as i have never done it... we werent allowed to do any live tests other that the RCDs i cant put pen to paper, i know i need an EFLi tester but is it probes or a plug?

Please somebody help me so i can get some sleep ready to revise tomorrow :)))

for socket circuits, the MFT has a plug in lead which you just plug into a socket. probes are used for lighting , FCUs, etc.

Have you got any study notes?

Edit: actually to avoid delaying, if you click the link in my signature and refer to chapter 8 there are some good illustrations on the side of how to apply the leads.

Take note though that it is incorrect when it says to remove the main earthing when testing EFLi from the farthest points.
