Hi All
I'm looking to light a path with a 500w flood light. However I need it to be on a PIR with emergency capabilities. ie If the power goes off the light says on. Is it possible to buy such a thing and if so where from?

I believe 500w floods are no longer available and I think 400w is now the max, would using a flood for general use and then having standard E/M fittings along the path route if possible as you would need trailer sized battery to run a 400w halogen for the 3hr compliance mark.

PS ... Welcome to the forum :)

Thanks. The path is to be lighted by carriage lights all along which I cant get with battery back up for E/m so have to provide EM as path will also be a fire exit. The path is 175m long The customer doesn't want additional em lights between carriage lights. So I was thinking a big flood at one end to shine down the path, hoping to reach the 1 lux at he other end. Also the carriage lights are not to go around the building, so was thinking of floods with em back up also on a PIR. Any suggestions??

You would have to but a stand alone emergency pack in the building and then feed the carriage lights from it but these will only work with ether PL or 2D type lamps I think, what have you got in these carriage lights ?
