Anyone know of or fitted an off the shelf 'concrete in' external socket post or have any ideas on siting an external socket in the middle of a large garden/park, will be fed by swa and used infrequently to power plug in external lights. Been looking and there doesn't seem to be anything out there. May have to get my welder out!:)

I would have a look at the rolec wall pods, not just car charging units but they are very adaptable and i believe you can request the 32a standard plug socket rather than commando plug or by one as a spare and fit if required. I have installed one of these below for use by a burger van at a regular pitch. they would do the trick, something like this but with lockable cover for the actual socket, they also provide posts for them. Full range on the rolecserv.com website under leisure section i think, but midselec also have this one... assume youd have isolation at the power source ?

failing these maybe look at the rolec caravan hookups that could be adapted?

Thanks, everything that is out there looks so in your face, the client is suggesting a wooden stake but it needs to be a permanent fixture concreted in, think I will end up having something made but will look into these units tomorrow.

one i did a while ago was made up with unistrut. 2 uprights hammered into the ground and 2 cross pieces to mount the socket on.
