As many have seen from past posts of mine...my father in law fancies himself as a dab hand with electrics. "Its not rocket science" "its just live netrual and earth" being some of his favoured qoutes.
Had to help him with a two way switch he had tried doing himself couldnt understand why it didnt work..had a look all old colours he had put blacks with blacks reds with reds.

But today came across this in a room in the annex theyd be staying in for months. He had put the extra switch in just before they went in so they could have two switches for the room. Couldnt ever get it working and just gave up on it.

I went in after theyd emptied and was trying the switches. He saw me doing so and told me it didnt work so i had a look at it.....
It wasnt down to his work....obviously....it mustve been the switch.....o_O

There was a thread a few months back by some funny old git who was looking for advice on how to wind up his smart arse son in law sparks as he said his son in law thinks he is God's gift to electrikery......... ;o)))))

Joking apart, leave him to it and get him to pay someone else to fix the issues, needs to be taught a lesson and respect the work that you do.
