Been to job today (not my install) 3.6kw installed november produced 48units? inverta no display!! never got there remote display! company OUT OF SOLAR NOW?? tested array ALL GOOD! so can only be meter what about changing meter ? anyone done it (esp if not your install? what do u think it should of produced south facing 30deg pitch no shading?

I would agreee that it should have done more than 48 units but I dont know the procedure for changing it, maybe there isnt one....however only other thing I can think of which you prehaps overlooked is that whats the inverter is like ? if it dosent have a display is it a cheap crappy one ? does the spec of the inverter complement the specs of the panels ? something to think about.

Is the meter wired the right way round. Whats the output of the inverter, amps and volts. Is the array or part of it shaded? is the cable sizing correct for the length of the run or is the voltage drop outside limits? Is the meter a well known make?
I guess a meter is only 30 quid so is a cheap component to change.

truth is i do think the invertor is the reason , i had the same off a non mcs no badge invertor good luck

According to the Guide to the Installation of PV Systems 3rd Edition it says <3% between the array and the inverter at STC.
