Fibreglass insulation safety

Hi guys

What do people find is the best protection against horrible fibreglass insulation - I always seem to be left coughing and itching!!!? I do wear safety gear, but nothing seems to be 100%.

Sperm Suite are best imo (white disposable onesies)

Disposable coveralls and mask - that way you bag and bin it straight after. Remember - nothing good ever happened in a ceiling space .

The itching you can tolerate, but trust me - look after your throat and lungs. There is more than just fibreglass in those old lofts.

itchy insulation is nothing to worry about if you disturb a wasp nest the size of your head.

Its amazing how accurate you can be with a couple of buzzing wasps in a confined space and the only swatting apparatus near at hand is a claw hammer

I once pulled out a dead mouse on a trap when fitting down lights. A bigger scare than have an intchy arm for a couple of hours

Thanks mateys - worst problem now is glasses steaming up - I got some wonderful safety goggles, with bifocal and anti-fog

Unfortunately I still get them steaming up, probably because it's usually pretty darn hot in them thar attics!! So I end up taking them off anyway!
Glad I haven't come across any wasps yet - but I have worked in an attic at a Buddhist retreat, where they didn't control the mouse population, and I was in the attic with the live mice!!! I told them to stay in their corner of the attic, and they kindly obliged

A slight smear of fairy liquid will keep your goggles clear for awhile , not to sure if I would try it on expensive bifocals though.

Just a smear mind , not enough to mingle with sweat and run and get into your eyes .
Polish it off like glasses cleaner until you get it right.
