Currently in the process of installing the fire protection on the job im working on. The property is a large bungalow that has had some major renovation work done to the inside. It consists of a large kitchen/dining area, lounge, bathroom and 2 x bedrooms one with ensuite.

Im going to use mains powered with battery back up devices, all interlinked, but i am a little unsure on where i need my coverage. Done a bit of reading and was thinking of the following :-

1 x heat detector in kitchen/dining
1 x smoke detector in lounge
1 x smoke detector in hall way ( leading to 2 x bedrooms and bathroom)

Any thoughts/guidance most welcome.

cheers, going off that it seems i should be ok with my suggestions. How come bedrooms arnt considered as an area where a fire is likely to start? I can understand a kitchen, but why is a bedroom any different from a living room?
