We have been asked to fit several neon signs indoors in an upmarket office.

The signs and transformer are enclosed within Perspex cases,so there is no chance of coming into contact with the high voltage from the step up transformer.

Do these still require wiring via a double pole fire mans switch,or is a fused connection unit suffice.

What is the operating voltage of the signage?

All neon and gas tube signs require firemans external switch.

Not all Tazz only if they operate at a voltage exceeding low voltage hence my question to the op. Additionally for an internal installation the switch should be located in the main entrance to the building or a suitable location agreed with the local fire authority. Also note that a single firefighter's switch (if required) should be used for all of the signage.
