I am about to install a fixed 110v transformer in a newly built workshop. There are 1 16a and 1 32a socket on each side of a partition which will radial. Am going in install rotary isolator so unit can be off when not in use, or would a stop/ start be better .was going to install a rotary isolator on each side of the partition which would isolate both the 16a and 32a socket. Does this sound reasonable? The two sockets will be next to each other.

Thanks!

Lots of factors to consider...

-Do you require interlock outlets - do the items plugged in have a potential risk of injury if they are already switch on when been plugged in, if not are the isolators rated for load switching or not (i.e. AC1,AC3 etc etc).
-How are your circuits protected.
-Is the transformer large enough for future expansion if the owner decide to add extra equipment and use all the points if this is not how its designed now.

Just a few points to start with before we can give a answer for your situe'.

Remember if you're protecting the 110v side that you in effct have 2 lives 55v each so a double pole mcb would be required
I am assuming it's a centre tapping and not 110v on 1 live leg to 0v
