Hey. Does anyone have a source for replacement fluke LCDs ?
I have 87v here with a cracked display and I'm struggling to find a UK source for a replacement part. I've contacted fluke they've told me they won't supply a spare but will fix it if I send it to them, it's a 5 minute job to repair so I'd prefer to do it myself rather than pay postage both ways and somebody else to do the job.
There is a replacement LCD on eBay.com but delivery and "import charges" double the cost of it.

The part number I'm looking for is 2065213.
Thanks,
Kevin.

Ebays new thing is to add the import charges at checkout. It's just another way for them to squeeze a bit more out of the customers :veryangry2:

Thanks for that but that kit doesnt actually include a LCD it just contains the rubber contacts, it is also for the earlier 87 models. The 87v takes a different lcd so i guess it would have different connections aswell.

Here's a good guide if anyone has a fluke with faded lcd there's no need to buy a kit most of the time : Fluke 80-series Faded LCD Segments | Mr. ModemHead

Don't suppose that was a cheap meter to buy in the first place though.
the Ex bit kinda gives it away!
i do wonder where they get their prices from tbh.
i took a punt on an ebay purchase of an agilent wirescope 350 data cable tester.
66 quid I got it for.needs new batteries and it never came with any channel adapters but it does work as far as I can tell.
got a quote for 2 batts at 190.00 each and 2x cat 6 channel adapters at 255.00 plus carriage and delivery!
ive tracked 2 channel adapters on the bay for 64.00 quid from the U.S. delivered with duty added!
i know these things were 6-7k new but I do feel they are taking the mick somewhat at £190 for a 7.2v nimh battery pack.
especially when I can buy new cells from ebay or Amazon for about 15 quid tops and sort it myself
