Discuss Fluke or Di-Log ? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Both are good and pretty much identical, but the Fluke is quite expensive.

I have the Fluke and its great, but im sure someone will be along with some info about the other.

I've got the fluke 140 test probe unfortunately it trips RCD's with the earth to live tests! which is a total pain. Though this may be because it has the voltage display and resistance tester integrated, it may not affect the cheaper fluke test probes. Usually use the yellow martindale with the four neon indicator lights works every-time and with no tripping.

Hi try testing between live and neutral for about 10 secs first, then test between live & earth, you may find it then wont trip rcds as long as you test that way round each time!

I have a T100 and to prevent tripping RCD's you just hold it across L-N for a couple of seconds.
This increases the units circuitry impedance and allows you to then put it across L-E without tripping RCD's.
The T100 also has a phase direction indicator (L & R LED)so can be used for phase rotation, although I am sure the 140 will have the same as it appears to be more expensive.

Been using a Di-Log MFT today and tbh, its horrid. Not a fan at all.. back to the Megger for me.. but was worth trying somethng differnt.
