This is a commercial residence with flat upstairs. The problem started two days ago at about 11pm the power to all the sockets downstairs and exhaust hood stopped working. We hadn't done anything unusual as we were using computer, when all the sockets stopped working. So we then went to the fuse box replaced the 30amp fuse. Tested if it had worked by turning on the till on, it worked for a few seconds but it tripped again (did not unplug all the plugs).
Yesterday hired an electrician can at about 1pm who replaced the fuse and tested if any of the sockets had any issue but couldn't find problems. Again at around 8pm the fuse tipped again, this time we unplugged all the plug attached to sockets and replaced the fuse we plugged one appliance at a time (fridge, freezer, microwave, turned on the hood and computer) where we found no particular appliance caused the trip (We assumed the till might have been the reason for the trip so didn’t plug it in).
Woke up this morning to find that fuse had tripped again.

Anyone know what the cause could be? The house is quite old (built around 1940's) and electrical wiring I think was done in the 70's.
