Fuse types an BS numbers

When doing a condition report what's the best way to find out fuse types , bs numbers an type of main fuse is being used if its an old installation an your not sure ?? An advice would be much aprciatated :stupid:

You can't - It is a bona fide limitation. Even if you put what it says on the carrier with regards to size (i.e. 100A) you are lying, better to put LIM

old MCBs are usually BS3871, and rewireable fuses are BS3036.

The info is usually on the side or front of most items
