As above... replaced switch as neutral had cooked due to poor connection. replaced for MK 50A, out of the packet really dissapointed only one earth terminal and terminal screws for that and l & N connections quite small and weak looking. Connected it and ensured that terminals were nice and tight.
Anyway customer has just text to say shower has to be turned on then off then on again to work - it seems the internal mechanism is also not up to scratch. Im going to get refund - (£15!!) and replace but any suggestions on brand - i normally go crabtree but they are round. cheers

I used to like Contactum but that was a few years ago since I fitted one. From above It sounds like the Hager twin screw seems a good choice.I think that with the one screw the cable creeps which causes the pull cord to burn out.

Although not square i like the crabtree ones as you fix the unit to the ceiling first then connect it up and it then has a cover that screw on , so you are not disturbing the connections like other pull cords has you try and dress the cables back into the back box

Click also do a 50A Pullcord like that. It looks equally horrendous, but they seem to do the job.
