Discuss got some of these to fit this week. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

£12.50 +VAT at TLC Direct, nothing wrong with them using loads of them, I bought a shed load of 6 rcbo pre loaded boards from screwfix when they were getting rid of them at £59 each!:)

I've had no problems with BG boards, a few years ago the "wings" of the dolly switch on the MCB's where too long and wouldn't fall into the off position in the event of a fault.

Hager prices in Northern Ireland are nowhere near competitive for single face Consumer Units.

That screwfix price for the compact RCBO is shyte though.

I had problems with these and ouside emergency lighting, did all dead tests and was fine left for a few weeks then power was put on and when i turned them on it tripped instantly so went and had a look and tested the circuit at the last light and had a direct short to earth and it was due to these rcbo all 5 of the circuits had the same but when taken the rcbo out and tested it it was fine swapped with a normal rcbo and all was good. So i basically don't like them

Hi,so what was actually at fault,then?

I didnt IR with the rcbo in i did a continuity and it was straight live to earth then disconnected it and ir tested and all was fine, and i dont know what the problem was as far as i can tell it was just the rcbo as i changed it to a standard rcbo with earth fly lead and all was fine

Ohh missed this one. Just as a comparison, Wylex compact DP RCBO's are £42.49 (SF). But I reckon you'll get them cheaper at wholesalers;
