Discuss Heatmiser uh1 in the Electric Underfloor Heating Wiring area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi all I've recently fitted a underfloor heating system using heatmiser controls and a Worcester Bosch oil system boiler but I'm a bit unsure as to what connection to make to the boiler. On the heatmiser wiring center I have an in and out boiler enable volt free, and at the boiler I have L N E but a bit uncertain what goes where. Please see attached photos. Any help appreciated.

Thanks james

In my experience Boilers normally require LNE and an additional switched live - call for heat - to say "fire up and supply heat" - this normally comes from whatever control arrangement you have. The permanent live is to allow for things like pump over-run after call for heat has ended.

In your case the boiler (old??) doesn't seem to have this so the call for heat is just the switched live - boiler out - described in your worcester pic. You may need to put a link between live and boiler in on the heatmiser control panel.

This does seem a little inflexible...

Whiles we're on the subject the Heatmiser UH1 is a totally crap piece of design...

Hi mate no the boiler in Worcesters latest model oil system boiler. I would agreed about the heatmiser I don't think I'll be using it again
