Help! Kitchen appliance isolator switch

I've just moved into a new house and in the kitchen the appliances are isolated by a 4 gang switch where each switch is labelled with 'fridge', 'dishwasher' etc.

One of the switches has a broken switch mechanism and shorted when I switched it so I need to replace the unit - problem is that I can't find one on Neweys site or Screwfix site. Main reason for this is probably that I down what the correct name is for such a switch!

Any help appreciated - wife is moaning about the blackened switch, obviously my fault!

You may find that you have a grid switch arrangement as I've posted a link above to such a switch, is this the type you have

I did think grid switch, but the white plastic face plate may have thrown me off the scent!

Will take it off and have a look...

there are so many makes that do these switches contactum crabtree , make sure you isolate the supply before removing the switch plate you never know if the connections are sound

If the grid switch has a legend such as cooker engraved on it you may need to order it from a wholesalers

you may find that bob the builder has installed the cheapest crap he could find. solution is to buy all 4 switches complete with yoke and faceplate. any wholesaler will do MK or similar, with legends engraved as you require.
