Hi,

I had 10 panels installed 3years ago now, 2.5KW system - with enecsys microinverters. One of the panels stopped producing last year and initially I contacted enecsys about the problem who said it was probably just the AC power supply, perhaps a faulty connector, as the inverter was still calling home via the monitor but could not see the grid. Since I was mega busy last year I've just not had the time to sort it so now I have some scaffold up and I was going to try to do some basic fault finding. Now I read that enecsys uk has gone into administration - which has got me a bit worried for the future of my system. It's really going to dent my investment if I have to fork out for scaffold every two years.

So I had a thought that whilst the scaffold is up I might get an accredited solar pv installer to re-install the inverters in the loft space - thereby allowing easy maintenance in the future. Does this sound like good plan or not? I'd appreciate any opinions - I used to read this forum daily for a few months back when I got the panels and found it to be a really decent and helpful place.

Thanks,

Matt
