Hi

I'm replacing my light switches with new ones, but am a bit confused on the wiring.
The current switch has three terminals labelled 1, 2 and 3, but the new switch has Com, 1 way and 2 way.

Is there a straight 1 to 1 match for the 3 terminals?

The earth is currently connected to the back box, but as I'm fitting a metal switch I'm going to wire it directly to the metal front plate.
I don't need to run a new earth from the front plate back to the back box as well do I?

Thanks.

Assuming that is two way switching the single red into common, then keep the others as they are into the other terminals doesn't matter which way around. Yes just connect the earth to the front plate.
