Ah yes it would, so basically it's just ensuring it's not live so when you're going to do maintenance you wont have any chance of shocking your self and everything is safe and secure?

I'm not sure if im understanding this correctly

Spark40, if you could answer myquestion, we might get a better feel for what the question is actually asking for, as you seem to be adding snippets of info in your replies, "Safe isolation" of the supply to the equipment would be one of the things I, as well as the other 2 Guys posing answers would be looking for, perhaps if you could give us the entire question it may help, if uou already have done so, then I agree it's a bit vague.
 
I think it's just vague and i'll have to consult with my clients at one point, may you look at the post i linked above? thank you pete for your efforts :)
