I've just fitted a Horstmann 425 Coronet to control an immersion heater. All it's doing is turning the immersion heater on and off a couple of times a day, so a very simple arrangement. I've attached a photo of how I've wired it in and I believe it's correct, but I just wanted someone to confirm that I have wired it in correctly. I should add that the immersion heater does come on and go off as expected.

Another question I have is, when the immersion is on, the top of the timer at the far left and right gets quite warm. Is this to be expected?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Regarding it getting warm - is it designed to switch the current you are switching?

slightly warm is normal. excessive heat could be due to a poor termination.
