Spoke to a chap today who lives in a council house and was offered free solar, (i know the installs are far from the best) and he said he did not want it as it does not work, also offered an ASHP, and did not want that either... I was shocked..

If it is a council house you do not have the problems that can be associated with the rent a roof schemes.

My point here is that if a member of the public that is offered it for free on a council house has been mislead by all the media that it does not work, it is hardly surprising that most of us are quiet, even though we know that now is probably one of the best times to buy a system.

Damage was done last November ...it's been shock and awe since. The general consensus from the general public is it doesn't work ... What with the DECC, Greg and that it's like banging out heads against the wall....

Good for you, we've had 6 but the phone's been dead all week and we've just got enough work for next week. WE're putting another on one of our rentals the week after but I hate it when it's this slow. 3 weeks in advance is perfect for us, we can book in customers without them waiting too long and we don't look too desperate trying to squeeze them in before the 7 days.

We have converted 6 out of the 7 we've had but there's just nothing at the minute.

I had around 6 enquiries this week, booked in to visit next week, look pretty good but never know until you get there.

I'm quietly confident- If we can't talk up the industry and great returns you can 'STILL' get, no one wonder people may be quiet.

Perhaps ...sadly not all our potential customers read this forum !!

I have just gone through our previous quotes and will be writing to them explaining the changes ..... lets hope they realise its a good thing !

Can't believe customers don't think it works, if that was the case why did they cut the tariffs in such a rush when they are based solely around generation?
