So, so long as you use "quality" copper wire this method is just fine ;) hey though I did like that expensive bit of testing kit he had, and how simple to use as well. :D

Haha! Good lord that is some high quality workmanship, who needs bolts and clamps when you can justake wrap some conductor around and then give it a wee tug with a pair of pliers!!

The best bit about the video was the fact the head of the hammer comes flying off mid strike, that was the icing on top.. it's okay though, they are doing this on the cheap ;)
 
I'm guessing wrapping what looks like steel fencing wire over the connection wire is to make it "maintenance-free"!
