If there is no body close who can help, do you know of any Motor Rewind firms nearby, that could be your best bet, shouldn't be expensive.Ok will do cheers ,that's the motor stripped, found the other wire, both are red so which one is live or does it matter?

If altering the saw to 45 degrees causes the cable to pull out, it suggests the cable is too short.
Anyway, if you connect up the two wire and the saw goes backwards, you just dismantle again and swap them round.
the saw will go in reverse.

Can you tell from the pictures whether the two wires that have come apart are before or after the capacitor?
That’s not the tool, that’s the body of the motor.
