This lansky blade medic is a great addition to the tool box if you use a knife. A few passes every now and again will keep it sharp, will take out minor damage and restore the edge.

Also you can get a honing guide for chisels that will keep the correct angle on a whetstone.

That was the word I was looking for... honing guide... got one of them and have been able to get a good edge on my wood chisels :)

Got home and look what was waiting, it's like Christmas !!!
I'm up a ladder fixing security lights tomorrow and I know who will be on the team :)

I bought a pair as well came in handy for stripping the cable when I had to fit a newer set of lights to the youngest E30.

They do sit nicely in the hand and I was wondering whether I should have gone for the spring loaded option but a little finger in the right place they work as they should.

I can even do circumcisions now.
